Continuing the Tradition — Preserving Our History

The Blackstone Valley Historical Society (BVHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the exploration, preservation, and appreciation of the Blackstone Valley heritage. The Blackstone Valley (in Rhode Island) is comprised of six communities: Pawtucket, Central Falls, Lincoln, Cumberland, North Smithfield and Woonsocket.

With the assistance of grants from the Champlin Foundations and the 1772 Foundation, the windows of North Gate were restored and repaired.  In addition, “invisible” storm windows were installed for greater energy efficiency.  The work has just been completed by the Architectural Preservation Group.
